Open Wheel Opening Day postponed due to weather

Brownsburg, Indiana: Officials have decided to postpone Open Wheel Opening Day featuring 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper and National Pavement Midget Championship, scheduled Saturday, March 26 at Brownsburg, Indiana’s Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

“We apologize for the change of plan, but the extended weather forecast was not going to cooperate for a successful kick off to our Open-Wheel season,” said Kasey Coler - Vice President, Track Management & Operation – Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

The race has been rescheduled for Monday, August 1. The race will include the 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper and National Pavement Midget Championship.

The free tickets distributed for the original event will be accepted on the rescheduled Monday, August 1 event. More information on the event will be released soon.
