Purse Bonuses Announced for Four 500 Sprint Car Tour Races

500 Sprint Car Tour officials have announced the Perfect Stop Brake Pad Bonus for four races during the 2022 season. The bonus will inject $5000 additional dollars into positions second through eighth at each of the four events.

“This is very exciting news, especially for a small team like ours,” said Kyle O’Gara. “This added bonus will be very beneficial to us especially in the middle of the season. The prize money helps keep us going from race to race.”

The four bonus races are run consecutively through the middle part of the inaugural 500 Sprint Car Tour. The Perfect Stop Brake Pad Bonus will start at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park on Thursday, June 30 for Thursday Night Thunder Reunion. Bobby Santos III (Franklin, Massachusetts) won the inaugural running of the event in 2021. The second race contested for the bonus is the 22 nd Running of the Glen Niebel Classic at Anderson Speedway. The race will be run on Saturday, July 9. The 21 st edition of the race saw a duel between Kody Swanson and Tyler Roahrig that will be remembered for years to come. Kody Swanson came out on top and won his second Glen Niebel Classic.

The third race will be the Saturday, July 30, Inaugural Gene Nolen Classic at Anderson Speedway. The fourth race will be contested at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan on Saturday, August 13. The non-wing sprint cars will compete in a 50-lap race on Berlin’s 7/16ths mile track.
