ANDERSON – Veteran campaigners in pavement sprint cars believe the 500 Sprint Car Tour is heading in the right direction. The 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Part Stores is entering a second season with racing in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee.

After running a limited schedule in 2022, Jake McElfresh from Elwood, Indiana will return to the #64 Speed Chasers Sprint Car owned by Tom Brewer.

On Thursday, March 9th, the 500 Sprint Car Tour conducted its 2nd Annual 500 Sprint Car Tour Media Day. Over 30 drivers between the 500 Sprint Car Tour and the USSA Kenyon Midget Series descended on the Anderson Country Club in Anderson, Indiana to partake in this new and exciting offseason event for the 500 Sprint Car Tour.

On the heels of the official start to the race season, the Taylor Ferns Racing team formally announces a partnership with Chicago-based commercial real estate firm Bradford Allen (BA). BA will be Ferns’ primary sponsor as she contends for both the United States Auto Club (USAC) Silver Crown and 500 Sprint Car Tour championships this year.

Tyler Roahrig (Plymouth, Indiana), two-time and defending winner of the Lucas Oil Little 500 Presented by UAW, has become the first driver to enter the 75th edition of the sprint car classic. Roahrig will also be chasing history as he looks to become only the third driver in Little 500 history to win three 500-lap races in a row, joining Bob Frey and Eric Gordon.

Nick Marcott and Schwarz Racing have committed to competing in the 500 Sprint Car Tour in 2023. Marcott, along with team owners Karl and Craig Schwarz, ran multiple events with the 500 Sprint Car Tour in 2022, and will compete in the majority of events this summer.

In what will be one of the most anticipated events of the Summer, the 500 Sprint Car Tour is pleased to announce that the July 22nd event at Berlin Raceway will also showcase the USSA Kenyon Midget Series and the Engine Pro Must See Racing Sprint Series.

Taylor Ferns (Shelby Township, Michigan) has made history throughout her career across multiple disciplines… She now looks to add “500 Sprint Car Tour Race Winner” to her list of accolades, and solidify her place as a championship contender, as she commits to the full 2023 500 Sprint Car Tour racing schedule.

Jackson Macenko (Cincinnati, Ohio) will join forces with Brad Hayes Racing in 2023 to compete on the 500 Sprint Car Tour.

The 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Part Stores has announced that the non-wing pavement Sprint Car series will travel to Nashville, Tennessee and the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in 2023. The event, which will be a 40-lap race held on Saturday, July 29th, will be the first non-wing sprint car race competed at the 0.596 mile track since 2004.

The 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Parts Stores will return to Marne, Michigan and Berlin Raceway for two races in 2023. For both events, the 500 Sprint Car Tour will be joined by the United States Speed Association Kenyon Midget Series.

The inaugural 500 Sprint Car Tour presented by Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Parts Stores season came to a close with an exciting final race at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park. Tyler Roahrig (Plymouth, Indiana) drove his way to a fourth victory this season with a late race pass for the lead on Kody Swanson (Kingsburg, California). The second place finish for Swanson was enough to claim the Season Championship from Dakoda Armstrong (New Castle, Indiana), who came home fifth in the final event and second in the points standings.

Tyler Roahrig passed Kody Swanson with five laps remaining to win the final 500 Sprint Car Tour event of the year at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

With his second-place finish, Swanson claimed the inaugural 500 Sprint Car Tour championship presented by Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Parts Stores over Dakoda Armstrong.

With only 17 points separating championship leader, Kody Swanson (Kingsburg, California) and second place contender, Dakoda Armstrong (New Castle, Indiana) every turn of the 40-lap race will be crucial in determining the Inaugural 500 Sprint Car Tour Champion.
